Featuring Völkl's multilayerwood for rock solid stability and edge grip on firm snow, it's an incredibly versatile ski for the backcountry enthusiast. The Volkl Nanuq backcountry ski is probably the most versatile ski in their backcountry series, whether it’s on the trail or skinning up some back bowl wilderness to get the goods. Based on the legendary Volkl Mantra, nothing can lay ownership to the claim of doing it all more than the Volkl Nanuq.

  • Tip rocker makes the Nanuq agaile and nimble for quicker turn intiation in tight terrain, and gives it extra floatation in cut up or fresh snow snow.
  • The Volkl Nanuq's 96mm waist width and Multi-layer light core means its as great charging downhill as it is climbing up, and it's still light enough to carry if the need arises.
  • As with all of their backcountry skis, the Nunataq ski uses the Volkl Skin Pin System which makes putting on their pre-trimmed skins or taking them off very fast and easy.
